I’m building very interesting interface for a friends website and I’ve been searching for good vector maps. There are lot of stuf out there, Flash maps, vector maps mostly for some money and I didn’t like any of them. Some are selling them for almost 300-400 $ which is unbelievable.
Anyway, Wikipedia is great as always… Real great
Check out the Wikipedia Blank Maps - great collection for your need, there are some licenced in public domain, some in wikipedia licences but you can find what you need really.

This is a great resource. We’ve been considering converting some maps to Degrafa markup for developers to use withing their applications.
