MIT OpenCourseWare - Knowledge for free

July 17, 2007 · No Comments

I am big evangelist of free world of information and tools. In computer world that means that resources and developer tools should be available free. We are all witnessing that is what is happening right now with many developer tools taking step towards free and open model.

In world of classic education, it’s nothing new to see planty of resources free on internet but MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) is bringing new level with OpenCourseWare.It is a free and open educational resource (OER) for educators, students, and self-learners around the world.

MIT OCW:

* Is a publication of MIT course materials
* Does not require any registration
* Is not a degree-granting or certificate-granting activity
* Does not provide access to MIT faculty

I’ve browsed for some time and I was very pleased that computer science have good deal of courses.
Beside PDF books there are also available Audio and Video lectures, so I found all of this amazing and hope you will find it usefull too.
